Q: How do I submit a book proposal?
If you want to know if we would consider a particular topic before you submit a formal proposal, please DO NOT CALL to describe the book over the phone. Instead, send us a brief letter or email describing your book, an outline or synopsis, a proposed table of contents, and a sample chapter. We'll review your material and respond either with a letter or by email. Please DO NOT send the entire manuscript. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable.
A tip for submission: Your book has a better chance of acceptance if you take the time to explain why our readership will buy your book, who your potential audience is, and what competition your book faces in the bookstores. The success of any book depends largely on how well recognized the author is or how adept at promotion. Please list ways you will promote your book.
Q: Do you pay advances?
No. But we do pay a royalty of 10% on the net cash we receive on all sales. Once the book is in the marketplace generating sales, you will receive quarterly sales status reports. Quarterly royalty payments begin 120 days after receipt of your first sales report.
Q: What address should I use to send my query letter?
